Raven Thundersky, of St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Winnipeg, with her husband Allan Aitken, examine documents from the Department of Indian Affairs. The Department ordered her family home destroyed in 1964; the replacement home was contaminated with asbestos, and so far five members of Ms. Thundersky's family have died of a rare cancer, mesothelioma.

Canadian Medical Association slams feds' 'shameful' asbestos stance
             Canada's doctors are condemning the Harper government for its "shameful" decision to block listing asbestos as a hazardous product.
             Delegates to the CMA general assembly voted nearly unanimously ~ 99 per cent ~ in support of a motion Wednesday opposing the federal government for contesting the international designation of chrysotile asbestos as a hazardous substance.
