~ unless one gets a book with a big publisher that actually sells, a career in writing is not really a paying proposition
  ~ below is how my 'career' as a writer began . . . in 1967
  ~ since then i've written hundreds (thousands?) of articles and pieces for regional newspapers and magazines, even a few for some of the 'biggies', also edited and even published some such as the one at right, an issue of the Mirror Northern Report of 1989
  ~ also written and performed plays, as well as writing songs and composing, and i have written a book to be found elsewhere on this website [THIOT: Runesong of the ErilaR Masters]
